Gulf Bank wins ‘Best Mes­sage for TV Com­mer­cial 2016 Award’ At Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Awards Cer­e­mony

Gulf Bank an­nounced yes­ter­day that it was awarded the “Best Mes­sage for TV Com­mer­cial 2016 Award” at the Fourth Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Awards (ACA) event or­ga­nized by the Arab Me­dia Fo­rum. The event was held un­der the aus­pices of Sheikh Sal­man Sabah Al-Salem AlHo­moud Al-Sabah, Min­is­ter of In­for­ma­tion and State Min­is­ter for Youth Af­fairs.

The award was pre­sented to Gulf Bank for its spe­cial TV com­mer­cial launched dur­ing the Holy Month of Ra­madan 2016, and which was pro­duced in co­op­er­a­tion with Im­pact and Echo. Gulf Bank’s Ra­madan video re­volves around the is­sue of prej­u­dice and stereo­types as well as around the im­por­tance of giv­ing be­yond one’s lim­its. The video shares five dif­fer­ent sto­ries, where the ac­tions of the char­ac­ters are be­ing per­ceived as pe­jo­ra­tive but turn­ing out that they are opt­ing for good deeds. The video calls for peo­ple to give be­yond their lim­its and re­minds ev­ery one of the im­por­tance of for­give­ness dur­ing the Holy Month. The com­mer­cial was well re­ceived lo­cally and re­gion­ally due to its im­pact­ful mes­sage and it was broad­casted on Kuwait tele­vi­sion sta­tions and re­leased on YouTube, In­sta­gram, Face­book, Twit­ter and other so­cial me­dia chan­nels.

The Ad­ver­tis­ing Cre­ativ­ity Award 2016 was or­ga­nized for the fourth year by the Arab Me­dia Fo­rum, which has proven to be one of the re­gion’s most prom­i­nent lo­cal in­dus­try events. The event brought to­gether many min­is­ters, me­dia and ad­ver­tis­ing ex­ec­u­tives, jour­nal­ists, aca­demics, au­thors, ac­tors, busi­ness­men, and so­cial figures from all around the Arab world.
