GCC stu­dents par­take in Rome youth, cul­tural gath­er­ing

A del­e­ga­tion of GCC stu­dents took part yes­ter­day in a youth and cul­tural gath­er­ing at the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of Rome as part of the ‘Youth Am­bas­sadors of the Gulf’ ini­tia­tive. Or­ga­niz­ers from the Rome mu­nic­i­pal­ity wel­comed the stu­dents to the event which aimed at pro­mot­ing di­a­logue and cul­tural ex­change amongst world youth.

Speak­ing on be­half of the Mayor of Rome Vir­ginia Raggi, the of­fi­cials af­firmed that the city was the per­fect venue for such a gath­er­ing due to Rome’s his­tor­i­cal and mul­ti­cul­tural sig­nif­i­cance. The city of Rome is very keen on hold­ing this gath­er­ing which will hope­fully con­trib­ute to world peace and un­der­stand­ing amongst youths of the globe, said the of­fi­cials who lauded the par­tic­i­pa­tion of the GCC youth in the event.

The Rome youth and cul­tural gath­er­ing was held via an ini­tia­tive by Kuwait’s Am­bas­sador to Italy Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other GCC Am­bas­sadors. Mean­while the Mayor of Rome Raggi, held a meet­ing with Am­bas­sador Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled and other GCC diplo­mats, dis­cussing is­sues of mu­tual in­ter­est and ways to bol­ster re­la­tions be­tween the GCC and Italy.
