Forged visa re­sults in three ar­rests

KUWAIT: Res­i­dency de­tec­tives ar­rested an Egyp­tian man­doub (com­pany rep­re­sen­ta­tive), a Moroc­can woman and a Syr­ian man for ques­tion­ing in a forgery case. The case re­volves around a sus­pected forgery of a visit visa. The visit visa was is­sued in the name of a man but then changed to a woman’s name. A se­cu­rity source said the Egyp­tian man­doub al­legedly re­ceived a KD 1,000 bribe for fa­cil­i­tat­ing the woman’s en­try. The Syr­ian man said he was in Morocco and met the girl and planned to marry her, and de­nied in­volve­ment in forgery, say­ing that all he asked for was a ser­vice for the money. The woman said that she is in love with the Syr­ian who asked her to come to Kuwait.

Purse theft in hospi­tal

Hawally pros­e­cu­tor or­dered an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a theft case af­ter a re­cep­tion­ist at a pri­vate hospi­tal re­ported her purse stolen. The woman said she was busy with pa­tients when some­one stole her purse and fled. De­tec­tives will re­view cam­eras to iden­tify the al­leged thief.

Drunk driver ar­rested

A man who does not have a driver’s li­cense was ar­rested and taken to Maidan Hawally po­lice sta­tion for al­legedly driv­ing while in­tox­i­cated. The ar­rest was made on the Ara­bian Gulf Road. He was re­manded in cus­tody pend­ing fur­ther ac­tion.

Fugi­tives caught

Far­waniya po­lice ar­rested a wanted ci­ti­zen on four civil cases and one at­tempted mur­der case. He also had an im­ported liquor bot­tle with him. He was sent to con­cerned au­thor­i­ties. Separately, a Libyan man was ar­rested in Salmiya. The man is wanted for a two year jail sen­tence on drugs charges.


A felony case was filed when a woman told po­lice a ci­ti­zen named (M.A) stole her phone. Mean­while in an un­re­lated case, a thief stole the li­cense plate of a car, along with its back wheels, and a com­puter which was in the trunk. The theft oc­curred at Jahra Hospi­tal’s park­ing lot.

Man beats girl­friend

A ci­ti­zen beat his girl­friend be­cause she did not tell him she was trav­el­ing, then took away her mobile phone. The woman went to the lo­cal po­lice sta­tion, filed a case and press charges against her boyfriend. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Woman robbed

A ci­ti­zen re­ported to po­lice that her house­maid robbed her KD 800-worth jew­elry and ab­sconded. De­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
