Abu Dhabi in­fla­tion rises to 2.4% in Nov

The Abu Dhabi Sta­tis­tics Cen­tre re­leased the fol­low­ing Novem­ber con­sumer price data for the Gulf Arab emi­rate. Abu Dhabi’s con­sumer prices rose by 2.4 per cent in the first eight months of 2016. The con­sumer price in­dex (CPI) for Au­gust was 0.5 per cent, year on year, and prices fell 0.7 per cent from July’s prices. Emi­rati house­holds ex­pe­ri­enced lower in­fla­tion, 2 per­cent, dur­ing the first eight months than ex­pa­tri­ate house­holds, for whom the fig­ure was 2.7 per­cent. Shared house­holds saw a 3 per­cent in­crease in in­fla­tion. House­holds in the low­est in­come level saw prices in­crease of 2.6 per cent, while mid­dle and high in­come house­holds saw 2.5 per cent and 2.2 per cent re­spec­tively.
