Thirteen state departments participate in KFSD exercise
Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) is set to hold the Shamel 3 exercise, which will be one of the largest in Kuwait, on December 22 with the participation of 13 government bodies, Deputy Director General Maj Gen Jamal AlBulaihees said. A meeting of participants was held at the exercise’s grounds, where a brief on the exercise was given by Lt Col Muath AlHamadi.
Meanwhile, KFSD’s firefighting sector conducted a fire drill at Burgan Secondary School for Girls in Qurain, which imitated a fire in the school’s laboratory. The scenario of the drill saw firefighters successfully evacuating the building and rescuing two injured people, before tackling the blaze.
In other news, KFSD Director General Lt Gen Khalid Al-Mikrad received a delegation from AlSharja information center of the government of Sharja, the United Arab Emirates. The delegation invited KFSD to participate in the 4th Sharja award for governmental communications.
