Kuwait Times - - SPORTS -

Kuwait beat Oman 55-42 on Friday, the third straight win in the 8th GCC Wheelchair Basketball Championship, held at New York University in Abu Dhabi. Kuwait was quick in their offense and made most of the field goal shots. The Kuwaiti team was also good in transition back to the defense and made a good use of the turnovers committed by the Omanis. Saudi Arabia beat the home team, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), 45-38. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have six points each. Their clash is today and the winner will win the championship. Shafi Al-Hajri, president of Kuwait Disabled Sport Club, commended the players for their performance against Oman. He told KUNA that Saudi Arabia’s game would be a tough one, but voiced confidence in ability of the players to make a good game. — KUNA
