KISR keen on promoting national manpower’s performance: Official
KUWAIT: The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) has reaffirmed eagerness to promote the capabilities and skills of the national cadres at the institution through training programs and courses. Acting Director of KISR’s Manpower Development Department and head of the mission and special programs Mona AlFailakawi made the stress during the 6th annual forum of scholarships, and the 10th annual of the practical training and development-oriented program. She added that the gathering is part of KISR’s goals for promoting scientific research to serve development in Kuwait.
These efforts include the scholarships and study missions program KISR launched in the mid-1970s, she said, noting that as 2016 is coming to an end, beneficiaries have hit 509. She stressed KISR’s keenness on acquiring staff with the necessary scientific expertise and developing their abilities in line with the institute’s strategic plan and researches.
Failakawi’s statement was followed by a session in which eight researches shed light on their experience while studying in foreign universities. KISR’s Director General Dr Samira Ahmad Al-Sayyed Omar and senior officials were attending the ceremony.
