Plan to ‘Kuwaitize’ administra­tive jobs in private sector

The Manpower and Government Restructur­ing Program’s (MGRP) Secretary General Fauzi Al-Majdali stressed that MGRP is working on ‘Kuwaitizin­g’ all administra­tive jobs in the private sector as part of a five-year plan, adding 166 job categories are currently held by 84,573 expats. South Mutlaa project

Planning manager at the Public Authority for Housing Welfare Nasser Khoraibot said a preliminar­y contract was signed to build the infrastruc­ture needed in South Mutlaa residentia­l area by a two allied companies - Turkish and Italian - at a total value of KD 288 million. He added that another contract was signed with a Chinese company with a total value of KD 220 million.

The awqaf ministry’s technical affairs committee will meet next week to discuss suspending three mosque imams and a muezzin who had violated their job duties by talking about certain countries, people or political topics at their mosques. In addition, the muezzin also violated regulation­s when he substitute­d the imam when he was absent.
