In­te­rior de­nies tak­ing ad­di­tional mea­sures against ter­ror­ist threats

The Kuwaiti In­te­rior Min­istry yesterday dis­missed re­ports that it was tak­ing ex­tra­or­di­nary se­cu­rity mea­sures to ad­dress ex­ter­nal or ter­ror­ist threats. The min­istry said in a state­ment that pre­cau­tion­ary plans and pre­ven­tive mea­sures are part of a se­cu­rity plan that has been launched since the holy month of Ra­madan. The plan is sub­ject to the su­per­vi­sion of Deputy Prime Min­is­ter and In­te­rior Min­is­ter Sheikh Khaled Al-Jar­rah Al-Sabah and all rel­e­vant se­cu­rity de­part­ments, the min­istry added. —KUNA
