Bank ABC ap­points new Group Chief Credit and Risk Of­fi­cer

Bank ABC has re­cently ap­pointed Grant Lowen as Group Chief Credit and Risk Of­fi­cer based at its head of­fice in Bahrain. Lowen joins Bank ABC from QNB in Qatar, where he served as Group Chief Risk Of­fi­cer (GCCRO) since 2012. He has ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in the bank­ing in­dus­try and worked in­ter­na­tion­ally in sev­eral coun­tries around the world over the past 30 years. Lowen also brings with him ex­ten­sive ex­per­tise in ar­eas such as risk ap­petite, ICAAP, IFRS9 and other top­ics on the con­tem­po­rary reg­u­la­tory agenda of fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tions. The out­go­ing Act­ing GCCRO, Paul Howard, will be re­lo­cat­ing from Bahrain in line with his orig­i­nal plans. The Bank takes this op­por­tu­nity to ex­press grat­i­tude for his ex­cel­lent con­tri­bu­tions and wishes him well for the fu­ture.

It will au­gur well, as the bank ex­pands its in­ter­na­tional foot­print across 18 coun­tries where it op­er­ates to foray into Dubai and Sin­ga­pore as well as boost­ing re­la­tion­ship to bet­ter serve our clients glob­ally,” he said.

Bank ABC is a lead­ing in­ter­na­tional whole­sale bank op­er­at­ing from pres­ences across MENA, Europe, Asia, USA and Brazil and pro­vides in­no­va­tive whole­sale fi­nan­cial prod­ucts and ser­vices that in­clude cor­po­rate bank­ing, trade finance, project and struc­tured finance, debt cap­i­tal mar­kets, syn­di­ca­tions, trea­sury prod­ucts and Is­lamic bank­ing.
