The price of Kuwaiti oil was up by two cents Tues­day to $43.70 per bar­rel after it was $43.68 pb the day be­fore, said Kuwait Pe­tro­leum Cor­po­ra­tion (KPC) yes­ter­day. At the global level, the price was up due to a de­crease in US crude reserves last week by 8.1 mil­lion bar­rels to reach $495.6 mil­lion bar­rels. The fu­ture con­tract for the Brent crude was up by $1.25 to $48.12 per bar­rel, the same case with the West Texas In­ter­me­di­ate, which was up by $1.31 to $45.71 pb. — KUNA
