Top-notch clinic picked for treating Kuwaiti patients
The Ministry of Defense is eager on choosing the most reputable hospitals for treating Kuwaiti patients who need special treatment abroad, the official in charge of treatment abroad Brigadier Emad Aman underlined yesterday. In a statement on the sidelines of his visit to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, accompanied by Kuwait Ambassador in Abu Dhabi Salah Al-Buaijan, Aman expressed admiration of the clinic’s world-class services and its highly-qualified staff and sophisticated technologies.
Aman disclosed that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has given clear instructions to make sure that Kuwaiti patients are receiving that best medical services at home and abroad. He pointed out that the goal of his visit to the clinic is to get a first-hand experience about the services offered to the Kuwaiti patients through touring the hospital and meeting both patients and doctors.
He voiced jubilation over Dr Ahmad Al-Duaij, a Kuwaiti national, joining of Cleveland Clinic staff. Aman also noted that he has coordinated with a number of senior doctors at the American Hospital in Dubai to visit Kuwait and carry out a number of surgeries there. Meanwhile, patients affairs official at the Cleveland Clinic Wadha Al-Nuaimi said that 184 Kuwaiti patients have received treatment at the clinic in 2016 and 100 this year.
