Oil price up to $45.90 pb

The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by 99 cents to $45.90 per bar­rel on Tues­day in con­trast with $44.91 pb the day be­fore, said Kuwait Petroleum Cor­po­ra­tion (KPC) yes­ter­day. At the global scale, the prices were up due to mea­sures by OPEC to speed up the bal­ance be­tween sup­plies and de­mands. The price of the Brent crude’s fu­ture con­tracts was up by 87 cents to $49.47 per bar­rel, the same case for the fu­ture con­tracts of the West Texas In­ter­me­di­ate, which went up by 85 cents to $47.71 pb. —KUNA
