Kuwait installs six new water wells in Tanzanian schools

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Tanzania celebrated the installati­on of six new water wells in two villages in Tanzania. This takes the total number of Kuwait-funded wells in the African country to 35. The wells are part of the “water well for each school” initiative launched by Kuwait Embassy in Tanzania and funded by a number of Kuwaiti bodies and charities. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tanzania Jassem Al-Najim stressed in a statement yesterday Kuwait’s keenness on providing life-saving assistance, education, healthcare, clean water to all countries in need. Najim praised Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS)’s humanitari­an actions and continued cooperatio­n with the embassy in Tanzania, which resulted in inaugurati­ng 16 wells in a number of schools in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in collaborat­ion with other Kuwaiti humanitari­an bodies. —KUNA
