16.5 kg of spoiled food con­fis­cated

Mubarak Al-Kabeer mu­nic­i­pal­ity in­spec­tors cracked down on Abu Fa­teera stores yes­ter­day, and ended up is­su­ing 23 ci­ta­tions, re­mov­ing 103 ran­dom ads, and con­fis­cat­ing 16.5 kilo­grams of food that was found to be un­fit for hu­man con­sump­tion.

In­te­rior Min­istry Re­la­tions and Se­cu­rity In­for­ma­tion com­mented on a video footage cir­cu­lated on so­cial me­dia and show­ing work­ers of clean­ing com­pa­nies at Kuwait In­ter­na­tional Air­port plac­ing garbage bags in­side the in­spec­tion x-ray sys­tem. The min­istry said that the sys­tem is des­ig­nated for check­ing the garbage bags at Kuwait In­ter­na­tional Air­port to check bags avail­able at the tran­sit, off limit ar­eas and some other ar­eas be­fore leav­ing to make sure that no banned sub­stances are be­ing smug­gled.
