Sudan parliament speaker visits Kuwait next week
KHARTOUM: Speaker of the Sudanese National Assembly Ibrahim Ahmad Omar is scheduled to visit Kuwait next Tuesday in response to an invitation by his Kuwaiti counterpart Marzouq Ali AlGhanem. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan Bassam Mohammad Al-Qabandi yesterday relayed Ghanem’s welcome of Omar who would stay in Kuwait between August 15 and 18. Emerging from the meeting with Speaker Omar, Qabandi expressed hope that the visit would contribute to cementing further the growing relations between the two countries. He noted significance of the visit that would be part of efforts to enhance the parliamentary relations and coordinate the two nations’ stance at parliamentary regional and international quarters for serving joint interests.
