Daugh­ter beats mom

KUWAIT: An el­derly Kuwaiti woman ac­cused her daugh­ter of beat­ing her. The mother, who re­fused to sub­mit a med­i­cal re­port, said she had a dis­pute with her daugh­ter be­cause of her re­la­tion­ship with an ill-man­nered man. The girl’s aunt said the beat­ing took place when the girl was told she couldn’t marry that man, then she left the house.

Kuwaiti ar­rested

A cit­i­zen was taken to Adailiya po­lice sta­tion af­ter po­lice no­ticed him ha­rass­ing a girl in a co-op park­ing lot. The cit­i­zen re­fused to hand po­lice his IDs, and was forced in the pa­trol car. The woman re­fused to go to the po­lice sta­tion.

Doc­tor ac­cused of ‘touch­ing’

A Le­banese woman com­plained against a Jor­da­nian doc­tor for ‘touch­ing’ her body in a way that had noth­ing to do with treat­ment while he was ex­plain­ing how he will han­dle her case. She said her friend was with her and wit­nessed ev­ery­thing. The doc­tor de­nied the woman’s claims.

KD 500 stolen

Hawally de­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing an Egyp­tian’s claims that an uniden­ti­fied per­son stole KD 500 from his bank ac­count al­though his ATM card was with him. The Egyp­tian told Jabriya po­lice that some­one stole the money through an ATM ma­chine al­though the ATM card was with him and he did not give his PIN to any­one.

Dead body found

The body of an Asian woman was re­cov­ered by the coro­ner af­ter it was found hang­ing from a tree in a Far­waniya park. Po­lice re­ceived a call from an Egyp­tian and went to the scene, but did not find any ID on her.

Po­lice hunt for miss­ing girl

Jahra de­tec­tives are look­ing for a girl - a stu­dent at a for­eign univer­sity - fol­low­ing a com­plaint by her fa­ther. The girl is psy­cho­log­i­cally ill and is be­ing treated at the psy­chi­atric hos­pi­tal. He said the girl left home a week ago and did not re­turn. When asked why he waited all this time to in­form po­lice, he said his daugh­ter used to stay with her friends for a day or two and then re­turn.
