KRCS launches Eid campaign for needy families in Kuwait
KUWAIT: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced yesterday the launch of Eid Al-Adha charity campaign to help needy families in Kuwait. In a statement to KUNA, volunteer Jaafar Al-Jamali from the local aid department said that KRCS will distribute coupons worth KD 30 ($100) to 5,000 needy families to allow them to buy Eid clothes. Al-Jamali added that furniture company Abyat contributed with some pieces of furniture, while the Kuwaiti Danish Dairy Company (KDD) will also distribute fresh milk to the families. He pointed out that KRCS will soon distribute school bags and stationery to needy students before the start of the school year. Al-Jamali said that the KRCS will receive needy families from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm today and tomorrow to provide them with what they need before Eid, adding that anyone in need can visit the Society and apply for assistance.
