KRCS launches Eid cam­paign for needy fam­i­lies in Kuwait


KUWAIT: Kuwait Red Cres­cent So­ci­ety (KRCS) an­nounced yes­ter­day the launch of Eid Al-Adha char­ity cam­paign to help needy fam­i­lies in Kuwait. In a state­ment to KUNA, vol­un­teer Jaa­far Al-Ja­mali from the lo­cal aid depart­ment said that KRCS will dis­trib­ute coupons worth KD 30 ($100) to 5,000 needy fam­i­lies to al­low them to buy Eid clothes. Al-Ja­mali added that fur­ni­ture com­pany Abyat con­trib­uted with some pieces of fur­ni­ture, while the Kuwaiti Dan­ish Dairy Com­pany (KDD) will also dis­trib­ute fresh milk to the fam­i­lies. He pointed out that KRCS will soon dis­trib­ute school bags and sta­tionery to needy stu­dents be­fore the start of the school year. Al-Ja­mali said that the KRCS will re­ceive needy fam­i­lies from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to­day and to­mor­row to pro­vide them with what they need be­fore Eid, adding that any­one in need can visit the So­ci­ety and ap­ply for as­sis­tance.
