Es­to­nian tech­nol­ogy firm se­cures large Nor­we­gian in­vest­ment

Net­tbuss, which is the lead­ing coach op­er­a­tor in Scan­di­navia, will ac­quire a 15% share of Es­to­nian elec­tronic ticket com­pany T So­lu­tions.

Coach op­er­a­tor Net­tbuss, which is a sub­sidiary of Norges Stats­baner (NSB), the Nor­we­gian state rail­way com­pany, plans to start us­ing T So­lu­tions-made soft­ware for its Nor­we­gian and Swedish ex­press routes.

ERR re­ports on Mon­day, March 13, that the de­ci­sion to buy a stake in T So­lu­tions was reached last week and was the re­sult of ne­go­ti­a­tions that lasted for close to a year. The sum of the deal paid by Net­tbuss for the T So­lu­tions stake was not re­vealed, nev­er­the­less T So­lu­tions CEO An­dres Osula told that it was a seven-fig­ure sum. Mean­while, the CEO of Net­tbuss Travel, Ståle Nis­tov, ex­plained that the com­pany’s cus­tomers are in­creas­ingly mov­ing on­line and to re­tain its lead­ing po­si­tion, it needs to com­mu­ni­cate with them dig­i­tally.
