Latvijas Mobilais Telefons has installed the first 5G technologies compatible mobile communications station in Latvia, as confirmed by the company.

‘It is symbolical for the first 5G connection station to be set up at the University of Latvia – an institution with strong academic and research traditions. Latvia as a country of smart technologies has clever people, innovative technologies and powerful partnership in the base of its development potential. We will continue establishing new 5G-capable stations across all of Latvia this year,’ comments LMT president Juris Binde. Nokia and LMT agreed on partnership for the development and testing of 5G technologies. LMT also cooperates with Riga Technical University in research of 5G technologies and introduction of usable models.
