Number of passengers carried by airBaltic grows 26%
In April, Latvian airline airBaltic carried 287,560 passengers to destinations in Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. This is a 26% increase when compared with last year, as BNN was informed by the airline.
The airline carried a total of 876,328 passengers in the first four months of 2017.
In April, the airline performed 4,043 flights, which is 9% more when compared with the same period of last year, when airBaltic performed 3,694 flights. In the first four months of 2017, airBaltic performed 14,203 flights.
Aircraft load factor in April 2017 was 77%, which is five percentage points more when compared with the same period of last year. The overall load factor was 69% in the first four months of 2017. The airline’s 15-minute punctuality index in February was 90.1%. This means more than 90 out of 100 airBaltic flights departed on time or with a delay of less than 15 minutes, the company reports.
