Num­ber of pas­sen­gers car­ried by airBaltic grows 26%

In April, Lat­vian air­line airBaltic car­ried 287,560 pas­sen­gers to des­ti­na­tions in Europe, Scan­di­navia, Rus­sia, CIS and the Mid­dle East. This is a 26% in­crease when com­pared with last year, as BNN was in­formed by the air­line.

The air­line car­ried a to­tal of 876,328 pas­sen­gers in the first four months of 2017.

In April, the air­line per­formed 4,043 flights, which is 9% more when com­pared with the same pe­riod of last year, when airBaltic per­formed 3,694 flights. In the first four months of 2017, airBaltic per­formed 14,203 flights.

Air­craft load fac­tor in April 2017 was 77%, which is five per­cent­age points more when com­pared with the same pe­riod of last year. The over­all load fac­tor was 69% in the first four months of 2017. The air­line’s 15-minute punc­tu­al­ity in­dex in Fe­bru­ary was 90.1%. This means more than 90 out of 100 airBaltic flights de­parted on time or with a de­lay of less than 15 min­utes, the com­pany re­ports.
