Estonian cooperative bank Coop Pank starts operations
Estonian Krediidipank has been from Monday, October 2, rebranded to Coop Pank reflecting the principles of operation of its largest owner – a group of cooperatives.
Estonian public broadcaster ERR reports that Coop Pank’s major stakeholder is Coop Eesti, a retail shop group made up of 19 regional consumer cooperatives.
Coop Pank board chairman Margus Rink stated that 14 bank branches across Estonia have been rebranded to the new name, the first of which have moved into Coop supermarkets and the bank’s new online banking system has likewise been launched into operation.
During October, the first banking points will begin operations in Coop stores, offering customers access to everyday services, for example, opening accounts, applying for bank cards and choosing small-size loans.
