Talks on collective agreement with Luminor launched in Estonia
Collective agreement talks with new Luminor Bank, which has been established as a result of merged o Baltic operations of Nordea and DNB, have been launched, where the bank’s workers are represented by the Union of Estonian Financial Sector Employees (EFTL). Estonian public broadcaster ERR reports citing the union that the owners of Luminor, Nordea and DNB, have for decades had mutually beneficial collective agreements with their employees in the Nordic countries and that Estonian employees seek similar employer-worker cooperation.
«The EFTL considers the launch of negotiations a positive signal and hopes that signing a collective agreement would solve the concerns many employees have regarding the creation of the joint bank and the unavoidable increase in efficiency,» the union said in a press release.
Operating since 2013, the union has pursued its goal to protect and represent the rights and interests of finance sector workers in collective and individual employment relationships.
