Es­to­nian ul­tra­ca­pac­i­tor maker to re­lo­cate man­u­fac­tur­ing to Ger­many

Es­to­nian ul­tra­ca­pac­i­tor maker and ex­porter Skele­ton Tech­nolo­gies has de­cided to re­lo­cate its pro­duc­tion from Es­to­nia to Ger­many with the aim if work­ing at a lo­ca­tion closer to its clients.

Es­to­nian public broad­caster ERR re­ports cit­ing ETV that the firm, which has grown from a start-up into a Euro­pean player in en­ergy stor­age and em­ploys some 100 work­ers, man­aged to boost its turnover three times in 2017.

A part of Skele­ton Tech­nolo­gies’ pro­duc­tion has al­ready been re­lo­cated to Dres­den, Ger­many, where the com­pany opened a pro­duc­tion fa­cil­ity in 2017; how­ever, this July, Skele­ton will be shift­ing the en­tirety of its pro­duc­tion from Vi­imsi to Ger­many. Skele­ton CEO and co-founder Taavi Madiberk com­mented: «This will al­low us to of­fer our clients faster de­liv­ery times and lower lo­gis­tics costs as well as bet­ter con­nect the cus­tomer with our com­pany. In Ger­many’s case, (..) we’re look­ing at Bosch and Con­ti­nen­tal, but also the pro­duc­ers BMW, Volk­swa­gen Group, Audi — then prox­im­ity to the client is im­por­tant».
