Danae Mercer

American-grown and Englandeducated Danae has roamed the world in pursuit of the shiniest stories and most interesting tales. For the last two years, Dubai’s been home but a fondness for travel -and airport lounges- has kept her bouncing everywhere from Baku to Bodrum. When not sat at a keyboard, attemtping to recount her glamorous tales, Danae enjoys failing at water sports and training for distance races. This month, she sat down long enough to speak with Maysa Jalbout, the new CEO of one of the world’s largest education foundations. If being the wife and sister-in-law respectively of our Editor-inChief wasn’t enough to get them the job, the Mourad twin’s Double Trouble communications consultancy probably was. With double the brains and double the power, this dynamic duo gives a whole new meaning to the concept of two for one. In a selfless bid to help decipher the appeal of ultra-luxury SUV’S, the twins broke from the humdrum of motherly duties to put their driving skills to the test on the new Bentley Bentayga. Carpooling will never be the same.
