The Valet collection is a new range of furniture pieces by American architect and designer David Rockwell for Stellar Works, a Chinese furniture brand incorporated in Hong Kong.

Remember when a clothes valet used to be a strictly male concern? Probably not, but that feeling of stripping away formality and getting comfortable in one’s own home is what David Rockwell’s Valet Collection for Stellar Works is all about. The 14 pieces that comprise the handsome collection are meant to streamline functionality, all with a heavy emphasis on craftsmanship. Full-grain saddle leather, American walnut, black powder-coated tubular steel and brushed brass hardware are used in designs that explore a typology that supports everyday living, working, and entertaining. The Valet itself, for example, features a leather bag with space for two pairs of shoes, a walnut shelf for personal items and a pocket for a shoe horn. While the Bar Cart, which keeps bottles handy in a looped leather storage system also acomodates a subtle bag in which you can keep your cocktail recipes handy. The collection is a fitting concept for Rockwell, who has become quite the vanguard in hospitality design with award-winning projects for W Hotels and Nobu restaurants.
