We’ve seen embroidery-inspired dials from Dior before but this year, for their high-end collection, that was merely the starting point and the creative lens was actually a kaleidoscope, which adds a wonderfully fresh and quirky twist to a familiar theme. As always, the horological innards are provided by Zenith with Dior taking charge of just the asthetics, from the inspiration to the execution to the wonderful denim straps. But, in the end, what that means is that the customer gets the best of both worlds. Based on the brand’s Grand Soir model, albeit with an expanded dial (from 33mm to 36mm) so as to better display the full effect of all the speckled jewels and precious marquetry, just eight ‘Kaleidiorscope’ watches (funny name, we know) have been made, each a one-of-a-kind design. Prices start from 250,000 USD.
