Full Moon

Bespoke - - SHOOT -

Built on the principles of mechanical precision, high-quality finishing, near perfect reliability and restrained aesthetics, A. Lange & Söhne is the quintessential connoisseur’s watch brand, and ever since it re-emerged in 1994 (after having been destroyed in World War II), the Lange 1 with its idiosyncratically German diameter of 38.5mm has been the cornerstone of the brand’s modern-day success. Now, following on from last year’s subtle face-lift of the Lange 1, it’s the turn of the more exclusive Lange 1 Moon Phase. The watch’s most notable upgrade is a discreet day and night indicator on the moon phase, which starts as pale blue in the day and gradually turns darker and darker blue towards night, but other changes, in line with the 2016 redesign, include an enhanced three-day power reserve and an outsize date that now jumps precisely at midnight. The new Lange 1 Moon Phase is available in three guises: a platinum version (below left), priced at 56,500 USD; and a white (below middle) or pink gold (below right) for 43,500 USD.
