RAGHEB ALAMA, LEBANESE SINGER HUBLOT’S FIRST ARAB FRIEND OF THE BRAND

Bespoke - - SHOOT -

What have you learned about yourself since you became a celebrity? I learned that no one is capable of building others’ success; it’s up to the individual to build, step by step.

What advice would you give your younger self? Life is beautiful but not all that long. Take advantage and invest in every hour, every minute, every day to create something new to reach success. I see life as a mountain that you climb with care and dedication.

What inspires you? I’m inspired by the beauty in everything: in people, art, nature, and in God’s creations.

How did your ‘friendship’ with Hublot come about and what does it entail? It’s amazing when you love something and become a representative for it. This relation between Hublot and me, the big success of Hublot, and the big success that I have achieved in my life, tell me that we are kindred spirits. I love Hublot and Hublot loves me, so I can say with confidence that we have a “best friends” relationship. How has it changed your view of horology? When I visited Hublot, I discovered things I didn’t know before. Previously, I loved the shape of the watch and the design only, but when I visited the ‘manufacture’, I discovered the huge amount of work and all the effort that goes into that. This made me respect the brand even more, and I now look at horology as a matter of art.

Can you remember the first time you saw an Hublot timepiece? Yes, I saw it on a friend of mine. He is a collector and loves watches so much; it’s one of his big passions. I saw it on his wrist and I immediately told him “I love this watch!”. And then I bought one.

Which is your favorite model and why? My favourite collection is the Big Bang, because it’s very manly. It’s tough to choose a particular one because all the models appeal to me.

Have you ever gifted anyone an Hublot? If so, what was their reaction? Sure, I have, many times and to different people. Their reaction was always: “wow!”
