The Lindt of marijuana-infused chocolate stakes its claim at the forefront of a burgeoning market

Bespoke - - WHOA! -

The mainstreaming of marijuana is well underway. Britain has decriminalized it, 29 states in the US have already some form of legality, and Canada has passed a bill to make it lawfully available across the nation by mid-2018. But few companies are looking as far ahead as Oakland-based Défoncé, which specialises in deluxe, cannabis-infused chocolate. Their philosophy is that by offering a product that makes no compromises whether in packaging, consistency of dosage, or taste, they’ll be able to better appeal to a broader and more globalised customer base. For now, you can only buy Défoncé at medical marijuana dispensaries, but it’s easy to imagine their chocolates being sold soon in high-end grocery stores across the world.
