FOREIGNERS SNAP UP TURKISH PROPERTIES
Property Sales to foreigners in Turkey rose a whopping 66 percent year-on-year during the first 10 months of 2014, totaling 15,417 transactions, according to figures released by the Turkish Statistical institute. Antalya, a tourism destination in the south of the country was the most popular province for foreign buyers with 5,486 properties sold this year, while Istanbul came in second place with 4,546 transactions. Aydin came in third place with 1,018 transactions, followed by Mugla and Mersin respectively with 903 and 641 home sales. A total of 926,932 houses were sold in Turkey in the first ten months of 2014, compared to 938,725 for the same period in 2013.
