Af­ter be­com­ing so ac­cus­tomed to the com­pact apart­ments of Paris, it was im­por­tant for Mr. Andary to in­cor­po­rate clever stor­age into the de­sign of his home. For this rea­son, the cab­i­net fea­ture of the li­brary is the core el­e­ment of the apart­ment – a wall made up of hid­den stor­age spa­ces. This is not the only room that boasts clever stor­age how­ever, for the steel and glass sur­faces of the kitchen dis­guise the un­der­ly­ing stor­age cab­i­nets and cook­ing uten­sils within them.

The ar­chi­tect’s vi­sion for a con­tem­po­rary dwelling un­folded af­ter five months of de­sign and plan­ning - fol­lowed by a year of con­struc­tion. His fi­nal piece of art is a re­fined one, for it is a place to en­joy the present, whilst
