Dubai’s premier des­ti­na­tion man­age­ment com­pany Lama Tours has or­gan­ised a road­show for the Aj­man Palace Ho­tel in In­dia. Tak­ing place from the 5th un­til the 9th of April 2015, the road show was an op­por­tu­nity for the ho­tel to show­case its unique and lux­u­ri­ous fa­cil­i­ties amongst trade part­ners and po­ten­tial cus­tomers across four cities; New Delhi, Chen­nai, Ban­ga­lore and Mum­bai. With the in­ten­tion of pro­mot­ing the United Arab Emi­rates as a de­sir­able des­ti­na­tion to In­dia, the tour also meant the ho­tel would be able to sur­vey the spe­cific re­quire­ments of the In­dian mar­ket. In ad­di­tion, the road­show wel­comed rep­re­sen­ta­tives from an ar­ray of air­lines, other ho­tels and travel and tourism agen­cies. The Gen­eral Man­ager at the Aj­man Palace Ho­tel, Ferghal Pur­cell, was con­fi­dent in terms of mak­ing progress within the na­tion’s out­bound tourist mar­ket. He ex­plained that ac­cord­ing to a re­port by Busi­ness Mon­i­tor In­ter­na­tional (BMI), that af­ter Saudi Ara­bia and the UK, In­dia is the third most im­por­tant source mar­ket for the UAE. Speak­ing about the road­show, Ferghal said, “In­dia is a very sig­nif­i­cant mar­ket for us. The road­show will help us pen­e­trate fur­ther the mar­ket by meet­ing face to face with po­ten­tial part­ners and cus­tomers … It will al­low us to un­der­stand the re­quire­ments of visi­tors from In­dia and tai­lor best pack­ages to suit their needs.”
