In Septem­ber, Hil­ton Ho­tels in Beirut made the an­nounce­ment that their Ex­ec­u­tive Sous-Chef at Hil­ton Beirut Habtoor Grand, Ji­had Dfouni, was be­ing pro­moted to Ex­ec­u­tive Chef at Hil­ton Beirut Met­ro­pol­i­tan Palace. The new po­si­tion will see Ji­had in charge of the ho­tel’s cen­tral kitchen oper­a­tions as well as man­ag­ing all din­ing venues, room ser­vice, ca­ter­ing, ban­quet­ing and all other culi­nary events. Ad­di­tion­ally, he will be re­spon­si­ble for hir­ing, train­ing, re­view­ing food ser­vice and mon­i­tor­ing team dis­ci­pline and per­for­mance. Speak­ing of his pro­mo­tion, Ji­had said, “I am thrilled to be as­sum­ing this new role with the amaz­ing and highly tal­ented kitchen team at Hil­ton Beirut Met­ro­pol­i­tan Palace and I’m ea­ger to con­tinue in­fus­ing my pas­sion for cui­sine and cook­ing so that to­gether we cre­ate a unique and de­lec­ta­ble gastronomical ex­pe­ri­ence.”
