Möven­pick Ho­tels & Re­sorts is pur­su­ing rapid ex­pan­sion across the globe. It cur­rently op­er­ates 83 ho­tels and re­sorts, with plans to in­crease its port­fo­lio to 125 prop­er­ties by 2020. To sup­port this ac­cel­er­ated growth plan, the group has ap­pointed An­drew

Lang­don (1) as chief de­vel­op­ment of­fi­cer. The role is a new po­si­tion cre­ated by the Swiss hos­pi­tal­ity man­age­ment com­pany as part of its ef­forts to grow and so­lid­ify the brand’s po­si­tion. Lang­don takes on the chal­lenge, hav­ing led the com­pany in Asia over the past two years in the po­si­tion of se­nior vice pres­i­dent Asia. The group is ex­pand­ing its man­age­ment team in the Mid­dle East and Africa and Asia re­gions, with the ap­point­ments of: Marc De­scroza­ille (2) as vice pres­i­dent, op­er­a­tions, MEA; Ger­ard

Hote­lier (3) to vice pres­i­dent, op­er­a­tions, Asia; and Pasquale

Baiguera (4) as the new GM of Möven­pick Ho­tel Bahrain. Baiguera joins from Möven­pick Ho­tel Beirut. With more than three decades in the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try, he brings to his new role a wealth of knowl­edge, with a fo­cus on proac­tive lead­er­ship, strate­gic man­age­ment, sales skills and rev­enue de­vel­op­ment.
