Hik­ing in Tan­nourine Re­serve

The Tan­nourine re­serve lies in a splen­didly beau­ti­ful area near the moun­tain of the same name with a cedar for­est of some 70,000 trees, some of which date be­tween 1000-2000 years. The na­ture re­serve is also known for its var­i­ous types of birds and wild an­i­mals and is also en­riched with lakes. The hike through the re­serve is mod­er­ate level and 4 hours long. Hike in Ebre Shouwen Jan­net

A hike along the banks of Nahr Ibrahim, a val­ley of­fer­ing a var­ied land­scape. It's con­sid­ered one of the most en­chant­ing places for hik­ing in Jbeil Caza, es­pe­cially dur­ing this sea­son. Level 4 hik­ers (2.5 hours) will start from Ebre vil­lage and take the path through Ja­bal Moussa, pass­ing through trees and bushes with re­mark­able views. Level 6 hik­ers (2.5 hours) will take as­cend­ing trails from Shouwen to Ebre. There will also be a stop at the his­tor­i­cal Phoeni­cian ru­ins of Mashna’a and Shir El Mei­dan. Hike Balaa to Douma

Balaa in Mount Le­banon is fa­mous for its 250m deep nat­u­ral sink-hole, carved by wa­ter 160 mil­lion years ago. A mag­nif­i­cent wa­ter­fall can be ob­served dur­ing win­ter and spring. Douma is also named Douma El Ha­did, mean­ing Douma of Iron due to the abun­dance of iron found in its soil and the su­pe­rior crafts­man­ship of its black­smiths.
