CEL­E­BRAT­ING THE COUN­TRY’S AR­CHI­TEC­TURAL HER­ITAGE

To mark Na­tional Her­itage Day all the main tour is­tic sites of the countr y, par tic­u­larly the countr y’s im­pres­sive ru­ins that line the countr y from By­b­los and Tr ipoli to Ba­troun, Baal­beck, Saida and Sour, will open their doors to all Le­banese for free. In By­b­los, the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of Jbeil-by­b­los, the Cul­tural Cen­ter of By­b­los and the Of­fice of Ru­ins in By­b­los will be do­ing a spe­cial pro­gram to cel­e­brate the day. The Amer­i­can Uni­ver­sity of Tech­nol­ogy (AUT) will take par t in the event with a pro­gram that in­cludes paint­ing and photography ex­hi­bi­tions, the dis­play of an in­ter ior de­sign project linked to By­b­los and the broad­cast­ing of films re­lated to the Phoeni­cians.
