With an im­pres­sive 57,000 votes in a com­pe­ti­tion run by the French-lan­guage daily, L’ori­ent Le Jour, Akkar Al Atika in Akkar in North Le­banon earned the ti­tle of Le­banon’s fa­vorite vil­lage. The com­pe­ti­tion, which ran from 23 July to 6 Au­gust cer­tainly caught the pub­lic’s in­ter­est, col­lect­ing over 121,700 votes in all. Dhour El Choueir in Metn snatched sec­ond place, while Douma in North Le­banon came third.
