A num­ber of ex­cit­ing ex­hi­bi­tions are cur­rently be­ing held at the Sursock Mu­seum. “Par­ti­tions and Col­ors,” by Le­banese artist Amine El Bacha, tack­les a num­ber of themes, in­clud­ing ab­stract, land­scapes, religion and mu­sic. The ex­hi­bi­tion runs un­til March 12, 2018.

Vis­i­tors to the mu­seum can also see the work of Kuwaiti vis­ual artist Monira Al Qadiri in her first solo ex­hi­bi­tion. Com­pris­ing works in sculp­ture, video and sound that en­vis­age in­ter­na­tional diplo­macy as an alien con­spir­acy, Qadiri’s ex­hi­bi­tion, ti­tled “The Craft,” runs un­til Fe­bru­ary 5, 2018.

The mu­seum is fur­ther host­ing the “Fruit of Sleep” ex­hi­bi­tion, which art­fully ex­plores the con­cept of sleep and its ne­ces­sity to achieve a true awak­en­ing. Cu­rated by Reem Fadda, it runs un­til De­cem­ber 31, 2017.

A pho­tog­ra­phy ex­hi­bi­tion of pic­tures taken around the Mid­dle East dur­ing the 19th cen­tury will also be dis­played un­til Fe­bru­ary 5, 2018.­seum
