21. CITY CEN­TER BEIRUT & AHWAK RES­TAU­RANT CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY

To celebrate the spe­cial oc­ca­sion of Mother’s Day, City Cen­tre Beirut and Ahwak Res­tau­rant or­ga­nized a fun gath­er­ing with moth­ers from the press, in­flu­encers, so­cialites and Ahwak loyal clients. The in­vi­tees gath­ered at the Ter­race area to en­joy a live cook­ing ses­sion hosted by Chef Kamil Bouloot. Chef Kamil pre­pared the Frikeh, an Ahwak Spe­cialty in ad­di­tion to de­li­cious Nuts Wrap dessert and took the moth­ers through the de­tailed steps of prepa­ra­tion. Af­ter that, all in­vi­tees at­tended a lunch at Ahwak res­tau­rant to rel­ish in all the res­tau­rant’s spe­cial­ties. The moth­ers also en­joyed gifts and sur­prises from City Cen­tre Beirut honor­ing them on this spe­cial day.

23. BEIRUT DE­SIGN­ERS’ WEEK IS BACK TO ZAITU­NAY BAY

Af­ter stag­ger­ing suc­cess dur­ing its first and sec­ond edi­tions Beirut De­sign­ers’ Week by GATA Events & Pro­mo­tions is com­ing back to Zaitu­nay Bay to amaze crowds for its third con­sec­u­tive year. Run­ning from the 27th till the 31st of May, 2015, along Zaitu­nay Bay’s re­fresh­ing lower prom­e­nade, Beirut de­sign­ers’ Week 2015 will be held un­der the high pa­tron­age of the Min­istry of Econ­omy & Trade, with the sup­port of the Min­istry of Tourism, and in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Beirut Wa­ter­front De­vel­op­ment s.a.r.l and Solid­ere.

24. FORD DE­SIGN­ERS SHOW­CASE IN­NO­VA­TIVE DE­SIGN AND LIGHT­ING IN­STAL­LA­TION

Ford’s team of global de­sign­ers show­cased their in­no­va­tion and cre­ativ­ity, un­veil­ing a sail­boat, guitar and ta­ble football at the Salone del Mo­bile de­sign show, in Mi­lan, Italy. The col­lec­tion of pieces was inspired by the same phi­los­o­phy that guided the de­sign of the new Ford GT. The guid­ing prin­ci­ples be­hind Ford GT in­te­rior de­sign in­clude clar­ity of in­tent – high­light­ing fo­cused ar­eas of func­tion­al­ity, in­no­va­tion – push­ing the bound­aries of in­no­va­tion to de­velop new de­signs and keep chang­ing the way the world moves and con­nec­tion – es­tab­lish­ing a con­nec­tion with the driver through more com­pact and more in­tu­itive tech­nol­ogy.

25. KIDSLAB OPENS FIRST STORE EVER

Kidslab has opened its first store ever, in the heart of Kaslik right on the shop­ping dis­trict. The Bou­tique cov­ers a to­tal of 90 Square me­ters on two lev­els and houses a plethora of lux­ury brands from Ralph Lau­ren to Burberry for Boys and Girls aged from 0 to 18, at dis­counted prices. Another ma­jor high­light of the newly opened store is the fine se­lec­tion of pieces from new ‘avant-garde’ de­sign­ers from all around the world; from Ja­pan to France to Korea etc. These brands are found nowhere else in Le­banon. Colours are sooth­ing & pleas­ing to the eye but at the same time they give the store the fun and ‘Kids friendly’ twist that ap­peals to small chil­dren.
