14. TOUCH CEL­E­BRATES THE “TEXT IF YOU CAN” CAM­PAIGN AND HON­ORS CELEBRITY PAR­TIC­I­PANTS

Un­der the aus­pices of Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Min­is­ter, Boutros Harb, Touch, the lead­ing telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions and mo­bile data op­er­a­tor in Le­banon, man­aged by Zain Group, the pi­o­neer­ing mo­bile and data ser­vices op­er­a­tor in the Mid­dle East and Africa, held a gala din­ner to honor celebri­ties who have par­taken in the Text If You Can cam­paign at the Phoeni­cia Ho­tel. The cam­paign, launched a few months ago in col­lab­o­ra­tion with YASA, aimed to raise aware­ness on the dan­gers of us­ing mo­bile phones while driv­ing, tex­ting in spe­cific.

15. TO­TAL LIBAN CEL­E­BRATES WORLD SAFETY DAY

On the oc­ca­sion of World Safety Day, cel­e­brated on 28 April, To­tal Liban launched, like ev­ery year, an ini­tia­tive to pro­mote a cul­ture of safety among its em­ploy­ees, the media and its cus­tomers. This day was an op­por­tu­nity to ini­ti­ate a di­a­logue with all em­ploy­ees and high­light the risks they may face in ev­ery­day life thus, en­cour­ag­ing them to adopt re­spon­si­ble be­hav­ior while re­spect­ing the nec­es­sary pre­ven­tive mea­sures. To celebrate this day with the media, To­tal Liban in­vited, on the 27th of April, sev­eral Le­banese jour­nal­ists to ex­pe­ri­ence the job of a ser­vice sta­tion at­ten­dant at TO­TAL Medawarser­vice sta­tion.
