12. INGIE CHAL­HOUB AWARDED THE RENOWNED MUREX D’OR AWARD IN LE­BANON

Ingie Chal­houb, CEO and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of Etoile Group and Cre­ative Di­rec­tor of lux­ury fash­ion la­bel INGIE Paris was awarded the Murex D’or dur­ing a Gala Din­ner at the Casino du Liban that marks the 15th edi­tion of the pres­ti­gious award. The Murex D’or rec­og­nizes achieve­ments in the do­main of art in Le­banon, the Arab re­gion and the world. Ingie Chal­houb was awarded for her on­go­ing con­tri­bu­tions to the fash­ion busi­ness both re­gion­ally and in­ter­na­tion­ally and pre­sented with the “Life­time achieve­ment of a Le­banese pi­o­neer in the fash­ion busi­ness world­wide” award.

14. NESTLÉ PUB­LISHES ITS COM­MIT­MENTS TO SO­CI­ETY

Nestlé is the first multi­na­tional com­pany to pub­lish for­ward-look­ing com­mit­ments to so­ci­ety in the Mid­dle East, with the un­veil­ing of the first re­gional “Nestlé in So­ci­ety - Cre­at­ing Shared Value” (CSV) re­port. The re­port an­nounces a 71% re­duc­tion in ab­so­lute waste for dis­posal, achieved be­tween 2009 and 2014 while pro­duc­tion in­creased by 62%; as well as 42% re­duc­tion in wa­ter with­drawal and 25% re­duc­tion in green­house gas emis­sions per tonne of prod­uct man­u­fac­tured over the same pe­riod.
