Unpretentious Elegance

U Magazine - - INTERVIEW - By Celine Assouad

Vhernier – an Italian jewelry brand inspired by contemporary art and novelty.

Budding since 1984 with a colossal eagerness for jewelry craftsmanship, thorough fascination for gemstones and the expertise to create unconventional jewelry - Vhernier is the Italian jewelry brand determined to create avant-garde jewels influenced by modern art. As one lays eyes on each of Vhernier’s beautiful masterpieces, you cannot but be astounded by their concealed perception, as their mysterious aesthetic will leave you in awe. Today, U Magazine sits with Marta Moruzzi, Vhernier’s export director, to discuss the brand’s visions and all the little details that make the house of jewelry inimitable. U: Tell us about the latest collection. What is the inspiration behind it? M.M: The inspiration starts comes from modern art or sculpture forms – the latter often characterizes our jewels. Also, nature plays major role in the collection, as it is main inspiration to one of our best-selling products, the Calla collection – which is inspired by the shape of the flower for instance. What typifies the collection is the overlapping of the stones. For example, one ring merges at the bottom the chrysoprase, at the very top the Rock Crystal while in between lies the Mother of Pearl. Therefore, the final color is unique because it is neither the chrysoprase color nor the transparency of the rock crystal but it is the mix of the three stones together.
