Linked to the MIEP ini­tia­tive , an Ecosys­tem Knowl­edge-ex­change Week was or­ga­nized by the World Bank, the Min­istry of Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions, and Bery­tech be­tween the 20th and 25th of July bring­ing Chile’s Startup com­mu­nity and in­no­va­tion Ecosys­tems ex­perts to Le­banon to meet with ac­tive play­ers in the Le­banese entrepreneurship land­scape.

18. ALNEWBODY BYVIC­TO­RIA CAM­PAIGN FEA­TUR­ING THENEWESTANGELS

Vic­to­ria’s Se­cret An­gels Kate Grig­orieva, Tay­lor Hill, Elsa Hosk, Martha Hunt, Jac Ja­ga­ciak, Stella Maxwell, Lais Ribeiro, Sara Sam­paio, Romee Strijd and Jas­mine Tookes. The 10 new­est Vic­to­ria’s Se­cret An­gels cel­e­brated the all-new Body by Vic­to­ria col­lec­tion on Mil­i­tary Is­land in the heart of Times Square in New York City. This is the first cam­paign that all 10 of the new­est An­gels ap­peared in to­gether. As a part of Body by Vic­to­ria, the new­est An­gels also de­buted the Vic­to­ria’s Se­cret Body Care col­lec­tion and rein­tro­duced the pop­u­lar Tease fra­grance.

19. FIRSTECOSYSTEM -BACKED TECH STARTU P IN BEIRUT

Bader, Bery­tech Fund II, IM Cap­i­tal, Le­banon for En­trepreneurs (LFE), and MEVP Im­pact an­nounced the launch of tech ac­cel­er­a­tor Speed@ BDD in Beirut on the 29th of July 2015. Speed@bdd is Le­banon’s only Y Com­bi­na­tor-style ac­cel­er­a­tor, and it is in­tended to be a col­lab­o­ra­tive ef­fort among Le­banon’s lead­ing in­vest­ment funds and entrepreneurship sup­port or­ga­ni­za­tions to build an elite com­mu­nity for top-notch star­tups.

20. TO­TAL LIBANSUPPORTSTHEFRENCH LAN­GUAGE INTHELEBANESEARMY

To­tal Liban in­au­gu­rated the French Learn­ing Cen­tres at the Le­banese Armed Forces (LAF) barrack in Ghosta and the Health School in Badaro. Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the De­fense and Co­op­er­a­tion Mis­sion of the Em­bassy of France in ad­di­tion to Le­banese mil­i­tary author­i­ties and a del­e­ga­tion at­tended the two cer­e­monies, held re­spec­tively on 26 June and 30 July, from To­tal Liban.

21. AFKART “ART &FASH­ION ”

Wel­com­ing Eid El Fitr with great beats is what AFKART'S De­signer's ex­hi­bi­tion was about this year! For the 13th con­sec­u­tive year con­tem­po­rary cre­ative minds from all over Le­banon and the Mid­dle East gath­ered to­gether to celebrate Eid el Fitr in Zeitu­nay Bay. Afkart’s goal through the years has been to pro­mote lo­cal artists and ar­ti­sans by giv­ing them an op­por­tu­nity to ex­hibit their unique work to a wider, more so­phis­ti­cated au­di­ence and make it a spring­board to their fu­ture route to suc­cess.
