This move is great for your sides and length­en­ing torso mus­cles. Start by as­sum­ing the mer­maid po­si­tion with your legs folded to­gether to the right side. While plac­ing your right hand around both an­kles, lift your left arm straight above your left ear. Then, while tight­en­ing your ab­dom­i­nals, ex­tend your left arm to­wards the sky, and move it slowly to the right side while keep­ing it straight. You will feel the stretch on the left side of your body. Re­peat twice slowly then switch your legs around to the other side and re­peat.
