Daunting task for volleyball team

Lesotho Times - - Sport - Moorosi Tsiane

THE Lesotho Volleyball Association (LVA) public relations officer, Letsatsi Ntsibolane, is hoping the country would be represented with dignity at the 2015 All-africa Games qualifiers to be held in Gaborone, Botswana, from 4-10 may.

The association was recently engaged in a selection process of a male and female team through a tournament being held at the National University of Lesotho.

“We are hoping to make our debut at the All-africa Games, so we need to assemble very strong squads for us to qualify.

“We are in the process of selecting two teams and i can tell you that we are almost there. The players might then resume camp next week,” Ntsibolane told the Lesotho Times.

According to Ntsibolane, Lesotho would be facing mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana in the qualifiers, with the winners making it to the continental showcase set for 4-19 September in Brazzaville, Congo.

“it is not going to be easy for us, considering we will be facing nations such as Botswana in the qualifiers. This nation has given us problems in the past but i believe our teams will live up to expectations this time around, and emerge victorious. However, we need to have thorough preparations if we are to qualify,” he said.
