New mandate for basketball leadership
THE Lesotho Basketball Association (LBA) on Sunday elected a new executive for a fouryear term.
However, the committee only has a few new faces after the association’s president, Molupe Mothepu, secretary general Palo Mohlotsane and public relations officer, Ratšolo Molupe, were not challenged in the polls held at Sefika High School. Former vice-president, Francis Koma, decided not to seek a new mandate, with Sekhoane Moshabesha taking over the post.
Molupe told the Lesotho Times: “the elections were held under the supervision of members of the lesotho National olympic Committee and lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission, and everything went according to plan.
“We are grateful to all members of the previous committee and i believe the vision is still the same, as we all want to see the sport develop and attract as many people as possible.”
