THE Lesotho mounted Police service (Lmps) has made eight senior promotions as the security agency continues its restructuring following the appointment of Keketso monaheng as Acting Police commissioner last month.
The Lesotho Times has confirmed that mofokeng Kolo, ‘matšepang ramarikhoana, molahlehi Letsoepa and Tebello Tšepe have been promoted from senior superintendent to Assistant commissioner, while ezekiel senti, mpota Nthako, ‘ masebina ramone and Janki Hlaahla were elevated from Assistant commissioner to senior Assistant commissioner.
The promotions were with effect from Friday last week, the Lesotho Times was further told by sources privy to the matter.
Acting commissioner of Police monaheng confirmed the promotions to the Lesotho Times last night but dismissed allegations that they had been politically motivated.
“What i can only talk about is that the promotions happened, but i will not comment further than that because this is an internal matter. i don’t want to say anything more on this issue,” mr monaheng said.
