Week­end of bliss beck­ons

REV­ELLERS will be spoilt for choice this week­end, with an ar­ray of shows and ac­tiv­i­ties lined up to cater for var­i­ous tastes and pock­ets.

Head­lin­ing the week­end’s events cal­en­dar is the two-day Spring Mad­ness or­gan­ised by lo­cal events out­fit Stock­sweet En­ter­tain­ment.

this year’s edi­tion will start off with a pre-party at Pur­ple Haze in Ma­put­soe to­mor­row, with the main event slated for Vic­to­ria Pool­side in Maseru on Satur­day.

Among the artists lined up for the preparty show in­clude South Africa’s Heavy K and DJ Zondi, Botswana’s DJ Khenzo and Mr Massie as well as lo­cal acts such as St­lofa, DJ Boots, Vida loca, Sadon, Da Starr, DJ Hally, Mr Beekay, Za­gro DJS, thy­bzen and Su­per twins.

the main event will be held by the pool and will set rev­el­ers back by M80. Dur­ing the show, the crowd will be doused in “5k col­ors” paint which is eas­ily wash­able and made from food-grade corn starch.

Dur­ing the evening, rev­el­ers will be given glow sticks, glow glasses, neon sticks, glow wrist­bands and cups to spice up the event.

Among the artists lined up in­clude Motswako’s Khuli Chana, Zeus, Dun­can, lec­tion, towdeemac, Khosi­mowa, Adrianto, DJ Khenzo, Mr Massie, DJ Zondi and DJ tira.

the lo­cal con­tin­gent will con­sist of ltore, Juvy, St­lofa, Hally, Skebz D, nirex, Axo Mind, Queen Mo, Sadon, Mr Beekay, t-mech, Blaze, Silent Fate, Peele Feela, thi­zozo, Da Starr and Dal­las t.

As if that was not enough, rev­el­ers can also look for­ward to the “Mem­o­ries of right now” (Morn) fes­ti­val at Maseru Club grounds on Satur­day fea­tur­ing South African Hip Hop crew, Cash­time Fam­ily, in its en­tirety for the first time in Le­sotho.

the South African group con­sists of such pop­u­lar acts as KO, Kid X, DJ Vig­i­lante, MA-E, Maggs and Mo­zlie.

they will share the stage with a host of lo­cal artists in­clud­ing Queen Mo, Juvy, Blaze Shutta Queen, OGM, t-mech, tro­jan, El’ Alsa, A Supreme, ra­zor Mi­nora, Ebonix, Pablodj, tshep­zadj, Sir Sch­aba, Kopano the First, Ouzysoul, Afrodj, Hally, thab­bie, Smooth, Boots, napole­nah, Hunky D, Monyase DJ, Har­ris t and Jiji F among oth­ers.

Vo­da­com le­sotho re­vealed last week that it had teamed up with the fes­ti­val’s or­gan­is­ers by adding the re­cent Vo­da­com Su­per­stars 2015 tal­ent search com­pe­ti­tion win­ners to the line-up.

Male dee­jay cat­e­gory win­ner DJ Vesta, fe­male DJ cat­e­gory win­ner DJ li­nah and mu­sic cat­e­gory win­ner l-tore will per­form at the fes­ti­val.

the telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions gi­ant has also added to the lineup South Africa’s Metro FM and Chan­nel O DJ, Shimza. Ad­mis­sion will be M100 in­clu­sive of M30 air­time.

two Hal­loween-themed par­ties are also in store for rev­el­ers at Mu­sic Man­sion in Maseru West to­mor­row and Maseru Mall-based Cap­pello restau­rant.

the Mu­sic Man­sion gig will fea­ture DJ Disco, Adil­lxh, trybz and DJ trend, with ad­mis­sion M40. Cap­pello’s Hal­loween bash will also fea­ture DJ Ebonix, t-mech and trend for an ad­mis­sion charge of M50.

Mean­while, Moshoeshoe ii-based new joint, green gate, will also host a gar­den Pizza Party on Satur­day, with guests treated to a pizza buf­fet, while be­ing en­ter­tained by DJS Da Starr and Trend for M150.
