Thaba-tseka man jailed for reck­less driv­ing

A 25-YEAR-OLD Thaba-tseka man will spend the next two years in jail for reck­less driv­ing.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice spokesper­son, Se­nior In­spec­tor Clif­ford Molefe, Lim­pho Put­soane was jailed af­ter fail­ing to raise the M2 000 fine im­posed by the Thaba-tseka Mag­is­trate’s Court.

“Lim­pho Put­soane ap­peared be­fore the Thaba-tseka mag­is­trate on 29 Oc­to­ber charged with reck­less driv­ing. The court found him guilty of the charge and sen­tenced him to two years in jail with the op­tion of a M2 000 fine,” Snr Insp Molefe said.

In an­other crime story from the same dis­trict, a 40-year old man was sen­tenced to six years in jail for stock­theft.

Ac­cord­ing to Snr Insp Molefe, Te­boho Tekane ap­peared ared be­fore the Thaba-tseka Mag­is­trate’sag­is­trate’s Court charged with steal­ing 13 sheep.

“Tekane was foundd guilty of the charge, and sen­tenced enced to six years in jail with the op­tion of a M6 000 fine. Af­ter failin­gail­ing to raise the fine, Tekanene was im­me­di­ately taken into cus­tody and is serv­ingg his time.”
